The two main characters in Amadeus

The two main characters in Amadeus are  Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri. They were both composers in the Classical period. He was born in 1756 and died 1791. He composed 600 works,  including                            ,                               , and                                      . It is said that he may have died of infection by a parasite in pork or rtheumatic fever.


Sarieri was important in the development of Italian opera. He was the directer of Italian opera in the Venice. Some of his famous student were Beethoven, Liszt, and Franz Schubert.

Salieri is played by F. Murray Abraham and Mozart is played by Tom Hulce.
